CDS Distance Learning Program No-Refund Policy
The CDS Distance Program is supported entirely by student tuition and receives no funding from the State of California. Each cohort has to be fully budgeted for the entire three years of the program in order to ensure that all students have the opportunity to graduate on schedule with the latest updates to the courses. CDS receives applications from far more eligible student than we are able to admit. If a student drops out of the program, they cannot be replaced in that cohort and the remaining unpaid tuition cannot be recovered. Nonetheless, the CDS program is ethically bound to continue to teach the complete three- year program to continuing students in all cohort groups, regardless of the financial burdens that might result from students who drop out prior to completion. For these reasons, the full tuition for an academic term will be waived ONLY if the Tseng College receives written notification of a student's intent to withdraw by 11:59 p.m. on the day prior to the first day of the first class of that term. Exceptions may be made for medical or other emergency situations.
