Application Instructions

STEP 1

Submit online: CLOSED

In order to submit your online application, you will be required to pay a $55 non-refundable application fee via debit/credit card.

On the attachments page of the online application, you will download the following documents:

You must attach the following documents to the online application. Online applications submitted without these completed attachments may not be considered:

  • SLPA Professional Statements
  • Unofficial Transcripts
STEP 2

Send the following items in one package directly to the exact address seen below:

  1. SLPA Supervisor Nomination Form. Applicants must secure an SLPA supervisor for the 100 hours of clinical fieldwork before starting the program. CSUN does not place students for the required fieldwork experience. Please use this document help facilitate your discussion with potential supervisors. For more information on securing your practicum site and supervisor, contact Sherry Foldvary at sherry.foldvary@csun.edu.
  2. Fieldwork Experience Site Information Form.
  3. Three recommendations using the SLPA Recommendation Form. All recommendations must be in a sealed envelope with the flap signed by the recommender. Forms MUST accompany any letters.
  4. Original/Sealed official academic records/transcripts from any/all academic institutions you have attended in the past. This includes community colleges and institutions where you completed post-baccalaureate work. Do not open transcripts before forwarding them to CSUN.

All items must be received at CSUN by the application deadline date. No exceptions will be made. It will be the responsibility of the student to verify the status update of received application materials.

Send items to the exact address below. Using other CSUN addresses will result in your application not being received at the correct location and can delay the application process thus omitting your application from the pool of complete, on-time applications.

STEP 3

Activate Your CSUN Online Access

You will receive an email from The Tseng College Office of Admissions, Registration and Client Services (ARC) that contains your CSUN User ID/Username, CSUN email address, and CSUN Student ID. If you do not receive this email please contact tsengarc@csun.edu. If you are a returning student or reapplying, please use your existing CSUN User ID and password. If you are a new applicant or do not have a CSUN student account, use the information provided in the email to activate your access to myNorthridge Portal and your CSUN e-mail account.

STEP 4

Check your CSUN Email Account and MyNorthridge Student Portal Regularly for Official Communication

You are issued a CSUN email account when you apply to the University. Your CSUN email account serves as your official means for University communication. The University will use it for all communications and you are responsible for monitoring this account. All updates on your application status will be sent to your CSUN email account only.

The MyNorthridge Student Portal is CSUN's official web portal for applicant, admitted and current students. It is designed to provide a wealth of campus resources and services in one central location. The portal is where you can find your student schedule, course contents, unofficial transcript, register for classes, update and access personal and academic records. You are encouraged to become familiar with all the functions of your student portal. You are expected to use your student portal regularly at CSUN.
