Live the college life
For the full American college experience, you can live right on campus. Your roommates will be other international students, but you will live in the same dormitories as CSUN students. Living on campus will give you more opportunities to attend events, meet new people and practice your English skills.
Living on campus is safe and convenient:
- Apartments are furnished and ready for move-in
- Dormitories are secure, gated buildings with keycard access
- Restaurants, classes and shops are only a short walk away
Student housing features:
- Apartment-style units for four students with two double-occupancy bedrooms
- Swimming pools, sports courts, a game room, a computer lab, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a dining hall and a coffee house
- Hosted activities, such as pool parties and movie nights, just for IEP students
- Free Wi-Fi
- Flexible meal plan includes meals at the dining hall and “Dining Dollars” to spend on campus (Note: Meal plans are not offered in the Summer session.)
For more details, including an application for housing, see the CSUN-IPP (International Programs & Partnerships) Housing webpage.
Off-campus housing
Many housing options are available within walking or biking distance, such as homestay families or apartments and houses for rent in Northridge and the surrounding neighborhoods. Some students prefer to live close to the beach or in another area of Los Angeles and drive to campus.
