Advancing Student Achievement Program (ASAP) allows former CSUN students the ability to enroll in CSUN's Fall Semester, Spring Semesters, Winter Session and Summer Sessions.
ASAP for Academically Disqualified CSUN Students
How to Get Started
Before enrolling in classes, disqualified students are required to make an advising appointment with the college of their major to discuss plans for readmission.
After meeting with the Associate Dean or their delegate, you should have identified courses to start you on the path to reentry. As a result of this meeting, you will receive guidance on how to get permission numbers to add classes.
ASAP students are required to obtain and use a permission number to enroll themselves in any course on a space available basis.
Matriculated CSUN students have enrollment priority. Therefore, enrollment is on a space available basis for ASAP students.
Class Search
To search for classes, visit the CSUN Class Search page.
Prerequisites
A prerequisite is a course or condition that must be completed/met prior to enrollment in another specified course.
Permission Numbers
Only after meeting with your Associate Dean of your major or their delegate, can you request a permission number. All ASAP students are required to obtain and use a permission number to enroll themselves in any course on a space available basis.
Helpful tip: Look for sections that have open seats and request permission numbers for alternate sections.
To request a permission number, follow the steps below:
- Based upon your selected class, note the department in which it is being offered
- Email the department using the Department Directory
- Introduce yourself as a visiting student enrolling through the Tseng College’s Advancing Student Achievement Program (ASAP) as a Disqualified CSUN student
- Include the class number and information (ex: ART 100 #12345)
- If there is a prerequisite for the course, include a copy of your unofficial transcript.
If you receive a permission number, follow the How To Enroll steps.
Wait List
The CSUN wait list feature is not available for ASAP students. This feature is only designed for current CSUN students.
