Open University Fall 2015

(July 15, 2015) - You're invited to register for academic-credit classes at California State University, Northridge even if you're not regularly enrolled at the university. CSUN's Open University program gives you a chance to start your university journey, get back into college life to finish your degree, re-take a class, or try out a course in a field that captures your interest.

Go to immigrant communities to talk about women's wellness and designing health screening programs. These are just a few of the opportunities students learned about at an information session for CSUN's online Master of Public Health: Health Education (MPH).

(April 2, 2015) - Curious visitors got a behind-the-scenes look at opportunities in the music business at an information session for the Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration (MIA). And they don't have to play a musical instrument or sing to enroll in the program. Traditional MBAs don't specifically address the music industry, but the MIA offers graduate-level classes tailored to the business of music.

Larry Twersky, CEO, Timer Cap LLC

(March 19, 2015) - Larry Twersky, CSUN alumni and local business executive, gave a presentation with tips to reach customers and colleagues by crafting messages that appeal to their individual communication styles “You have to communicate differently with people, depending on whether they are logical or emotional types,” Twersky explained. “Communication styles and language expression are different. You will understand your teams and your customers if you understand this idea.”
