Launched in 2002, The Tseng College's Court-Interpretation certificate program is endorsed by the Judicial Council of California and the courts of Los Angeles County.
Our program prepares you to take and pass both the written and oral parts of the examination required for certification as a court interpreter by the state of California. Some courses also qualify for Court Interpreting Minimum Continuing Education (CIMCE) credit - necessary for maintaining certification once obtained.
... Our program is the only interpretation certificate program that develops skills in both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and sight-reading translation concurrently and in every class. (Other programs develop these three skills sequentially, from semester to semester.)
