Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration

Program Requirements


To be admitted to the program, applicants must possess (at the time of enrollment):

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Cumulative G.P.A.: 3.0
    or
    2.5 and GRE score, in one section of the test, in the upper 50th percentile. GRE scores are not required if your cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher.
  • English Proficiency Requirements for International Applicants: Applicants whose language of instruction was not English, are required to take one of the following placement exams:
  • TOEFL – Minimum scores accepted:
    Paper-Based test: 600,
    Computer Based test: 250,
    Internet-based test: 100
  • IELTS – Minimum score of 7 or higher is preferred.
  • PTE Academic – Pearson's Test of English with a minimum score of 65 or higher.

IEP to MA in Music Industry Administration Pathway for International Applicants

International applicants who do not meet the above English language proficiency criteria, but do meet the criteria below, can apply to our IEP-MIA pathway. If accepted, students will take IEP and MIA classes simultaneously for the first two semesters of study. Tutoring will also be mandatory and provided as a part of the IEP component.

  • TOEFL – Minimum scores accepted:
    Paper-Based test: 577,
    Computer Based test: 223,
    Internet-based test: 84
  • IELTS – 6.5*
  • PTE Academic – Pearson's Test of English with a score of 59 or higher.*.

*Students who take and earn a minimum of a 7 on the IELTS, or equivalent, during the first term of study will not be required to take IEP during the second term.
