January 2 – 17, 2010
Winter Term 2010 schedule of classes will be available in Fall 2009
Registration begins October 19, 2009
Scheduled this year during the first two and a half weeks of January 2010, Winter Term/Intersession offers participants a rich educational experience through a broad range of intensive study opportunities in university credit courses. The course offerings are often innovative and span many disciplines. Classes are small, so participants have the opportunity to interact often with faculty.
Winter Term/Intersession enrollment is open to all CSUN students, prospective students, students from other colleges and universities, and interested individuals from the community. No application or admissions process is required for registration.
CSUN matriculated students earn resident credits. Non matriculated students may apply up to 24 units towards a bachelor’s degree and 9 units towards a master’s degree. Grades received in Winter Term become part of a student’s academic record and are included in the student’s overall grade point average.
Winter Term/Intersession is open to all who successfully completed high school or earned a General Educational Development credential. Students need not be regularly enrolled at CSUN to take academic-credit classes during the Winter Term/Intersession, so long as course prerequisites are met.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis. You may register online or in-person. Online registration and early registration are strongly recommended. Many high demand courses in the Winter Term/Intersession fill quickly.
Please note that due to Winter recess all offices on campus are closed from December 25, 2009 - January 1, 2010. Online registration will remain available. We encourage you to register early and online.
Students may take only one three unit credit course in the Winter Term. Students enrolling in a course requiring a lab may exceed the limit by only one unit (one three unit course with a one unit “lab” is permitted). Students may not exceed the maximum unit load during the Winter Term.
Where Do I Go For Academic Advisement?
If you are a student at CSUN, consult with a CSUN faculty adviser or evaluator about course applicability before registering.
If you are unsure about your qualifications, seek academic advisement through the Advisement Resource Center (ARC/EOP) or with the (major) department that offers the course.

Room 210
If you are a degree-seeking student at another college or university, go to your faculty adviser at your home college or university and/or your academic department to make sure you can transfer CSUN courses and credit to your degree program.
Students are expected to meet course prerequisites before registering, follow published procedures, meet published deadlines and attend class.
Courses with prerequisites are listed as such in the current University Catalog. It is important that you meet the academic prerequisites for the course of your choice. If you enroll without the required background, you may be disenrolled at the instructor's or department chair's request.
Grades received in Winter Term become part of a student’s academic record and are included in the student’s overall grade point average.
