Fees for Summer Session 2022

Student Status Tuition Fee Campus Fee
For CSUN in-state students matriculated in a state-funded undergraduate program $319
(per credit unit)
$400 (paid once for the overall Summer Session regardless of the number of credit units taken)
For CSUN in-state student matriculated in a post-baccalaureate credential or post-baccalaureate credit certificate program $356
(per credit unit)
$400 (paid once for the overall Summer Session regardless of the number of credit units taken)
For CSUN in-state graduate students matriculated in a state-funded master's degree program $373
(per credit unit)
$400 (paid once for the overall Summer Session regardless of the number of credit units taken)
For CSUN matriculated, out-of-state (nonresident) students $411
(per credit unit)
$400 (paid once for the overall Summer Session regardless of the number of credit units taken)
For in-state or out-of-state (nonresident) students, not matriculated in any program at CSUN $411
(per credit unit)
No campus fee required

Campus Fee

Campus-based fees are applicable to all CSUN matriculated students enrolled in a state-funded degree program, whether enrolled during regular term or summer, enrolled full- or part-time and/or taking courses online or on campus. Such fees are based on the projected revenue needed to make certain services and resources available to students year-round. The following is a breakdown for the Summer 2022 Campus Fee.

Instructionally-Related Activities Fee (IRA) $20
Health Facilities Fee $3

Additional Fees

There is no application fee for Summer Session. A formal application for admission to CSUN is not required for Summer Session enrollment.

For travel-study courses there will be an extra fee charged over and above tuition fee and campus fees as needed to cover any extra costs of the travel for the instructor and other direct and necessary travel-study course costs.

There is a $270 per unit graduate business professional fee, in addition to the tuition and other fees, for all courses taken while enrolled in the following graduate business programs:

  • Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
  • Master of Science in Accountancy (M.S.)
