The field practicum requirement is 16 hours per week beginning the first semester through the end of the second year. Students must be available for 16 hours of field practicum on weekdays during regular business hours. Summer field practicum may be required during the second year if the student has not accrued the minimum number of hours. Review the 2015-2016 MSW Field Models and the 2015-2016 MSW Student Handbook & Field Manual for more detailed information.

In addition to completing regular online assignments, the MSW program typically meets weekly for live, online sessions one week night per week, in each class, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Pacific Time, with a start time no later than 6:30 p.m. The specific day time for live sessions will be announced no later than one month before the cohort launch. Rare exceptions may apply.
