Graduate Certificate in Urban Studies and Planning - Apply

How to Apply

Individuals wishing to make application to the program must:

  • Complete our online application;
  • Submit directly to the Public Sector Programs department (see address below) the following:
    • Official transcripts in unopened, sealed envelopes from all institutions of higher education attended (1)
    • Application fee of $55 by check made payable to California State University, Northridge
    • Current resume
    • Statement of Purpose, between 500 and 1,000 words, explaining why the candidate is seeking the graduate certification and how it will contribute to his/her personal and/or professional growth and success

If preferred, the resume and Statement of Purpose may be emailed to Patricia.Lyon@csun.edu .

(1) If the transcript has been granted by a university outside the United States where English is not the language in which al instruction is presented, the applicant must send an official original and may be required to provide a certified English translation of the transcript.

After your application and accompanying materials have been evaluated, you will be notified of your admission status.

Budget News:
All CSUN self-support programs (including master’s degrees, baccalaureate degree completion, credit certificate programs, and online degrees) offered through CSUN's Tseng College, will remain open for applications and admission for the Spring and Fall 2010 semesters. Winter session and Open University courses also will be available.
