Open University registration always begins on the first day of each semester.

Please Note: The campus is closed for holiday observances (no instruction; all offices closed) on the following dates:
Monday, January 18, 2010 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day;
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - Cesar Chavez Day;
April 5-10 - spring recess;
Monday, May 31 - Memorial Day.
Whenever a student drops a class, the refund schedule applies. This is true even if the student's intention is to swap the dropped class for another class.
The following does not constitute an official drop, nor do such actions diminish your financial obligation to CSUN for the Open University Program:

Once registration has been completed for Open University, a full refund is not available. Sixty-five percent (65%) of the fees collected will be refunded until the end of the third week of the semester. After the third week of the semester there is no refund. If a refund is due, resulting as a credit on your CSUN account, you will automatically receive a refund. For credit card transactions a credit will appear on your credit card account. Payments made by check, electronic check, money order or cash will be refunded in the form of a check. Refunds are not based on the date a student stops attending class. Refunds are calculated based on the date student drops class, online or submits the completed Change of Schedule Petition to The Tseng College office, Bookstore Complex, Room 100.
