Online via the CSUN Portal (this is the fastest and most efficient way to register)

Students may register online until 11:59 p.m. the day before class begins. Thereafter, all transactions must be conducted by mail, drop-box, or in-person visits.

Step-by-step instructions for online registration:

Prerequisites: The registration system will screen students for course prerequisites. If you believe you have met the course prerequisites and are blocked from registering, contact the academic department offering the course for authorization.

Note: Permission numbers are valid until used to complete the class registration. If you have entered a permission number and were unable to complete the online registration process, you will need a new permission number.

Mail-in

Extended Learning/Noncredit courses, including test preparation and MPA classes only: Fill out the paper registration form (PDF) completely, correctly and legibly, and mail it with payment in full to the address below. You will need the free Acrobat reader program to view the form. Students are required to read the stated policies and procedures of The Tseng College before registering for classes.

Mail-in registrations must be received no later than the Friday two weeks before the day the class begins. Registrations sent or dropped off elsewhere probably will not be received on time.
