Payments

For all students, payment in full is due at the time of registration, whether registering online, by mail, or in-person.

STEPS TO FOLLOW PRIOR to ENROLLMENT & PAYMENT PROCESSES

  1. Log on to myNorthridge Portal.
  2. On the browser, go to "Tools." Select the "Pop Up Blocker" section, and ALLOW POP UP's. If this is not done, you will NOT be able to complete your payment through Cash Net.
  3. Once the enrollment and payment processes are complete, you may readjust the browser to block Pop Up's.

How to make payment: Student’s with Existing Balances

How to Pay with Electronic Check:

  1. Go to www.csun.edu.
  2. Go to My Northridge Portal at the left
  3. Enter your User ID and Password
  4. Click the "Student" tab, then scroll down to the "The Tseng College" box.
  5. Click on "Student Center."
  6. Under “Finances,” select “Account Information.”
  7. Select “Make a Payment.”
  8. Select "Pay by Electronic Check."
  9. Enter authorized amount and click "Add to Basket."
  10. Enter routing number and checking account number.
  11. Click "Submit."

How to Pay with Visa or MasterCard:

  1. Go to www.csun.edu.
  2. Go to My Northridge Portal at the left
  3. Enter your User ID and Password.
  4. Click the “Student” tab, then scroll down to “ The Tseng College” box.
  5. Click on “Student Center.”
  6. Under “Finances,” select “Account Information.”
  7. Select “Make a Payment.”
  8. Select “Pay by Credit Card.”
  9. Read policy information and click “Agree” to Move on to the next screen.
  10. Enter amount to be paid and verify the payment type (Visa or Master Card).
  11. Enter all 16 digits on the credit card and and the expiration date, print a copy of the screen for your records, and click “Submit.”

Payment is due upon registration.

Students MUST allow Pop-up's in order to complete the payment process successfully. If Pop-up's are not allowed at least temporarily, the student will not be able to pay.

Enrollment verification can be viewed online.

  1. Go to the CSUN Portal.
  2. Scroll down to the The Tseng College box, and select the Student Center link.
  3. Then select the View my Class Schedule. This will display a students current and past academic history.

Payment verification can be viewed online

  1. Go to the CSUN Portal.
  2. Under The Tseng College box, select the Student Center link.
  3. Under Finances, select the Student Account Information link. This will display a students current and past financial history.

You should print out a record of your transaction.

 

Payment options

 

  • In person: Visa / Mastercard, personal check, cash, cashier's check, or money order. Make checks and money orders payable to California State University, Northridge or to CSUN.
  • Mail-in: Visa / Mastercard and personal check.
  • Credit card: We accept only Visa or MasterCard. Check your expiration date and your statements to be sure your card will accommodate the amount of your payment.

      • Payment covers the course fees.
      • Lab and material fees are paid directly to the university. Students may pay by cash, money order, check or debit card, in person at Bayramian Hall or online with debit card, Mastercard or electronic check.
      • Made out correctly and not post-dated
      • Made payable to California State University, Northridge or to CSUN
      • Signed
      • The account number is for a VISA or MasterCard
      • The card has not expired
      • The account number is complete and the expiration date included
      • The full amount to be charged is specified

      The following conditions must be met for your registration to be processed without undue delay:

      Overloaded cards and bouncing checks: If your credit card charge is not authorized by the credit card clearing house, all your paperwork will be returned for a different form of payment.

      If your check is not honored by your bank, there is a $20 returned check fee, a $25 Administrative Late Fee and you remain enrolled. Bounced checks do not officially withdraw you from class.

      Payment for returned checks can only be made with cash or certified funds.

      Special Financial Status

      Military / ROTC:

      If the military is paying all or part of your Summer Term fees, submit a signed authorization on letterhead stationery or the 1556 form with your registration, along with the amount not covered. The University cannot bill for laboratory, material or late fees. Make sure the authorization clearly indicates the amount being covered, the sponsoring agency to be billed and the signature of your commanding officer or recognized official. We cannot accept deferments with contingency payment provisions.

      Vocational rehabilitation:

      If you are in a specially funded program for vocational training, your authorization must specify California State University, Northridge Summer Term, the particular session in which you will be registered and the amount of the payment. If your benefits do not cover the full cost, come prepared to pay the outstanding amount at the time of registration. You must pay any laboratory, processing and late fees due. You need to turn in your authorization form at the time you register.
