Log on to the CSUN Portal (link opens in new window).
Enter in a User ID and Password in the top right corner of this page.
Under the Extended Learning box, click on the “Student Center” link.
Under Academics, select the “Enroll in a Class” link. At this time the student is required to agree to the online contract stipulating that the student must pay his/her fees after a registration is completed, and agree with the “Statement of Financial Responsibility.” Once this button is selected, the student is in contract with the University and the Tseng College to pay for their course fees. This agreement is in regards to adding and dropping courses.
Select "Program to Enroll," choose from:
College of Extended Learning - Graduate Credit
College of Extended Learning - Undergraduate Credit
College of Extended Learning - Non Credit
Enter in the course information in the second tab, called “Drop.”
Select the course desired to be dropped, and hit the “Submit” button.
If the class has been successfully dropped, it will say “Success.” That means the class selected has been dropped. If a red “Errors” link comes up, this means the class has not been dropped. Click on the “Errors” link to find out why the drop did not go through successfully.
The student should make sure and print out a copy of this transaction to keep for his/her records. This information will show up in the system once the drop has been completed.
If a credit is due to the student, this information will show up in the student’s account information. This information should also be printed for the students’ own records.
