New Licensing Requirements
Our program fulfills the educational requirements for the new 2008 State of California’s Office of Real Estate Appraisers (OREA) "Trainee License" examination. All of our required courses are approved by OREA for continuing education credit for licensed and certified appraisers.

New Licensing Requirements – Effective January 1, 2008

The Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation has adopted changes to the real property appraiser qualifications criteria. These changes will become effective January 1, 2008, and will significantly affect the requirements for individuals seeking to become licensed or certified appraisers. The changes include increased requirements for qualifying education and experience as well as a new Uniform State Appraiser Examination. All initial and upgrade license applications received on or after January 1, 2008, must satisfy all components (education, experience and examination) of the new requirements.

NOTE: Anyone wishing to test under current AQB requirements must submit a complete application prior to September 1, 2007, in order to allow sufficient OREA processing time and scheduling of the examination prior to December 31, 2007. Individuals who submit incomplete or deficient applications or who fail to pass the examination before December 31, 2007, will be required to meet the new 2008 requirements.
