Open University – Your Gateway to the University
Did you know that anyone who is not enrolled in a CSUN degree or credential program may enroll in virtually any regular university class through Open University?

Open University allows you to

• Test your academic ability in the university setting
• Earn credits required to finish your degree
• Keep up with developments in your field
• Add new areas of expertise
• Prepare for a career change
• Study for intellectual growth and personal satisfaction

The Open University registration process is easy. The registration period for the CSUN Spring Term begins in the first week of February. Complete Open University registration information will be available on Dec. 17 at http://tsengcollege.csun.edu/programs/univ_prog_open.html. To receive a brochure, call (866) tseng-ext (873-6439). (Brochures will be available in early January.)

Note: International students may participate in the Open University program on a full-time basis through The Tseng College’s Intensive English Program.
 
Spring 2005 Schedule of Classes
The spring schedule of classes  is now available both online and in printed form from The Tseng College on campus (Matador Bookstore Complex, Rm. 100).

Note: Course descriptions and instructor biographies are available online only.

 
 
Winter Term Reminder
If you are pursuing a Tseng College certificate, Winter Term (Jan. 3-28) affords a perfect opportunity for taking the next course in your program’s sequence. Certificate program courses offered this winter:

• Fundraising and Institutional Advancement

CDS Registration Deadline Reminder
If you want to sign up for the online master’s degree program in Communication Disorders and Sciences – Speech-Language Pathology, the application deadline is January 10, 2005. Classes begin in May.  For more information, contact Dr. Karen Green at (818) 677-2880 or karen.j.green@csun.edu.
 
Coming in January: Certificate/Professional Development Program Open House
The people responsible for developing and delivering programs to meet your educational needs – namely, The Tseng College’s programming, business development, University access, and academic support services teams – are jointly planning an open house for ExL students and their employers. The event will be held during the last week of January in the newly renovated Annex of the Matador Bookstore Complex. Watch for details in the January issue of this e-newsletter.
