Coming This Fall: Armenian-English Legal Interpretation Program

The Tseng College's Interpretation and Translation certificate program for court interpreters is now the largest of its kind in the United States. While the current program is geared to bilingual Spanish-English speakers, a new program for those who are bilingual in Armenian and English will start this fall. Beginning legal interpreters in the Los Angeles courts earn $265 per day, and the demand for their services is high. Learn more about preparing for this interesting and rewarding profession by coming to the free court interpretation and testing event to be held on campus from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 21. Landscape Design Instructor Featured in Lifestyle Magazine

The March issue of 805 Living features a major article about Thousand Oaks-based landscape architect James Dean, who is one of the instructors in The Tseng College's Landscape Design certificate program. Dean is the resident landscape architect for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and has created a number of outdoor public spaces, including The Commons at Calabasas, The Promenade at Westlake, and The Village at Moorpark. Dean's Tseng College course - Landscape Construction Materials and Implementation - will be offered in spring 2006.
