Instruction in the new, fully online Instructional Design and Adult Development credit certificate program begins in January. The application deadline for the first cohort of this program is Nov. 30. Public Administration (MPA) – Instruction in the first MPA cohort to be offered to employees of the City of Chino will start in the spring, as will instruction for the second MPA cohort to be offered to Los Angeles Unified School District employees. If you are a retired or semi-retired person who wants to learn how to use the computer – or how to get more out of the computer you've been using for just a few things (e.g., e-mail, banking) – The Sage Society, CSUN's learning-in-retirement organization (which celebrated its 20th anniversary this month) can help. Its popular six-week course, Introduction to Computering for Seniors, meets on campus from 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays, from Jan. 4 to Feb. 11. The class is taught and staffed by SAGE volunteers, so the fee is a low $25. For an application form or additional information, call Morrie Cutler at (818) 831-5064. If you expect to lead or participate in a lean management initiative in 2008, why not join us for a free introductory half-day seminar to learn more about lean operations and our certificate program?
