Call for Input on Region's Need for MLIM Degree Program

As part of the process for accrediting CSUN's new master's degree program in Library and Information Management with the American Library Association, The Tseng College is conducting a survey to establish the need for such a program in the northwest Los Angeles area. If this program, which is scheduled for rollout in Spring 2008, would be of potential interest to you or anyone you know, you can help by completing the online survey by Feb. 15. Act Fast! Free Disaster Preparedness Class on Jan. 16

Fire Department and the Encino Chamber of Commerce at 4933 Balboa Blvd., Encino, 7 to 8 p.m., Tues., Jan. 16. The Tseng College is actively involved in the Encino chamber's health and wellness committee, which coordinated this event and was recently recognized as the chamber's most effective standing committee of the year. Though the presentation is designed for the business community, CSUN faculty, students and staff members are welcome. Starting Jan. 29: Open University Registration for Spring 2007 Courses

Students not regularly enrolled at CSUN may take Spring 2007 classes through the Open University program, which is administered by The Tseng College. Registration is easy, since formal application and admission to the university is not required. Open University registration begins on Monday, Jan. 29, and continues through Friday, Feb. 16. Admission to classes is on a space-available basis for those who meet course prerequisites. The first day of regular university spring semester classes is Jan. 29.


Regular Library Hours Resume Jan. 29

Through Jan. 26, the Oviatt Library will continue to observe "winter break" hours: i.e., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Frida; closed on weekends. Starting Jan. 29, the library will resume its regular hours.

Early Applications Review: New Global MKM Program

When it goes online in Fall 2007, CSUN's Distance Learning Global Master's Degree in Knowledge Management, the faculty of which features KM experts from around the world, will be the only distance program in the nation that focuses solely on the discipline of knowledge management. Early applications are now being accepted and will be reviewed for acceptance on February 28. To ensure your place, apply online now.
