If you are a retired or semi-retired person who wants to learn how to use the computer – or how to get more out of the computer you've been using for just a few things (e.g., e-mail, banking) – The SAGE Society, CSUN's learning-in-retirement organization, can help. Its popular six-week course, Introduction to Computering for Seniors, meets on campus from 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays, from Jan. 5 to Feb. 9. The class is taught and staffed by volunteers, so the fee is a low $25. For application forms or additional information, call Morrie Cutler at (818) 831-5064. To get an idea of what the class is like, check out the article "Dropping in on Senior Computers – The SAGE Society's Bridge to the 21st Century Celebrates 15th Anniversary" in the Fall 2005 ExL Report (PDF, page 5).
