On Friday, Nov. 10, the campus will be closed in observance of Veterans' Day, and no classes will be held. Veterans' Day honors those who served honorably in the military in wartime or peacetime. Unlike Memorial Day, Veterans' Day is largely intended to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge their contributions to the nation's security, and to underscore the fact that all those who served – i.e., not only those who died – have sacrificed and done their duty. Veteran's Day is traditionally observed on Nov. 11. However, if Veterans' Day falls on a Saturday – as it does this year – the holiday for government workers is observed on the preceding Friday.
Office hours at The Tseng College (Bookstore Complex, Rm. 100) are as follows:
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
Please note: In addition to the Veterans' Day observance (Nov. 10), the campus will be closed for holiday observances on Nov. 23-24 and from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1, 2007.
