Communications Disorders and Sciences, Speech and Language Pathology – Oct. 2 is the application deadline for the cohort* that begins in May 2007. This program offers graduate coursework through distance learning, culminating in a master's degree in communication disorders and sciences. Master of Public Administration – Nov. 1 is the application deadline for the MPA cohort* that will start in Santa Barbara in February 2007. Contact Alice Lu at (818) 677-3886 or alice.lu@csun.edu for information.
* Cohort participants enter and proceed through the program as a group. This format facilitates learning because each course builds on those that preceded. It also gives participants a strong support network of faculty and fellow students who come to know one another well.
Sept. 22 is the last day on which you may enroll in CSUN undergraduate- and graduate-level university credit courses through the Open University Program administered by The Tseng College. It is also the last day to drop a fall semester class or change the basis of grading. Registration is easy, since formal application and admission to CSUN are not required. Admission is on a space-available basis for those who meet course prerequisites. To request an Open University brochure, call (818) 677-2504.
Students who were enrolled in CSUN Summer Sessions 1 and 3 may access their grades online at the CSUN Portal or via touch-tone telephone at (818) 677-3000, option 1.
Celebrate the culinary delights of fall Italian-style with lunch at Il Grano on Sunday, Nov. 12. As usual, participants in ExL's Food and Wine Symposium will meet with the chef-owner (second-generation Los Angeles restaurateur Salvatore Marino); observe the preparation of the group's special meal; and taste wines brought by a noted California winemaker (Rodney Strong Vineyards) to enhance everyone's enjoyment. These events always fill up fast and space is limited, so sign up early!
The CSUN Career Center, a department of Student Affairs, regularly sponsors job fairs and events to help students enter or advance in the professions of their choice.
