Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2013.
Since 1983, more than 2,000 students have earned their MPA degrees at CSUN.
This MPA program is offered on-campus, off-campus (on-site cohort), and online. It is designed primarily for professionals currently employed in the public/ nonprofit sectors who wish to develop their management and administrative skills in order to excel in their current roles or to advance into positions of greater responsibility or leadership. The CSUN MPA program is also helpful for those who are pursuing careers in government or with international organizations.
Because most CSUN MPA students are busy professionals, the design of this 36-unit program offers maximum convenience and flexibility with three delivery options: 1) on campus (open-enrollment format); 2) off-campus (cohort format); and 3) online (cohort format).
In comparison with other degree programs in this field, the CSUN MPA offers a more interdisciplinary, multifaceted approach to problem solving that blends public sector theory with practice and emphasizes the application of critical skills to managerial and leadership functions. This practical focus is possible because many of the program's faculty members are both esteemed professors in their areas of specialization and active professionals who ensure that program content is current and relevant.
CSUN also offers MPA-linked graduate certificate programs that not only expand and update professional capabilities in targeted areas but also offer credits that can be applied to satisfaction of the MPA degree requirements.
The Master of Public Administration program can be taken one of three ways. Please select your preference below.
