The distinguished instructors in this program bring education, training and real-world experience into the classroom.
Following is a partial list, representative of what you can expect in our program.
- James Dean, ASLA
- James has used his 32 years of interactive experience with engineers, geotechnical consultants and interior designers to form an award-winning, six-member professional team specializing in site planning, grading, and intricate AutoCAD presentation. He has traveled extensively photographing landscapes of Europe and incorporates, from his study, fountain and water features into many designs.
- Jo Ann Krause, ASLA
- With an Associate's Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Ventura College and a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Jo Ann served as an Associate Landscape Architect for several design groups before starting her own landscape design firm in Agoura. She is a guest lecturer and instructor at several local colleges and a board member of the Ventura/Santa Barbara ASLA.
- Don Marquardt, ASLA
- Don received his BSLA from California Polytechnic State University and his MA in Environmental Design from UCLA. He has been Parks Superintendent for Culver City since 1994 and previously worked as a parks landscape architect for several cities along the Pacific Coast. In addition to his teaching duties at Tseng College, he is Landscape Architecture Faculty Chairman at UCLA Extension. He is on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles ASLA.
- Julie Molinare
- Julie received a BS degree in Art Education from the State University of New York-Buffalo College. She is the owner and Landscape Designer for The Grass is Always Greener Designs. She has worked as an assistant Landscape Manager for a local construction company. She was awarded the Landscape Design certificate by The Tseng College at California State University, Northridge.
