Follow this Easy 5-Step Application Process. All steps must be completed before you can be admitted to the Distance Learning Global Master's degree in Knowledge Management program.

Step 1

Complete and submit the online Easy App, the Tseng College’s University Application for Admission.

Step 2

Request that two official transcripts in sealed envelopes be sent to CSUN from each college or university you have attended. The transcripts should be sent to:

Step 3

Prepare a check, money order, or credit card for the $55 University Application fee and provide the following additional application materials in one packet:

  • Two letters of recommendation from past or present supervisors, professors, or colleagues indicating your potential for graduate-level study in the Distance Learning Global Master's degree in Knowledge Management program. Letters should be in sealed envelopes.
  • Current Resume or Curriculum Vita.
  • Payment for the $55 University Application fee.

Admissions Requirements

To successfully apply and be admitted to the Distance Learning Global Master's Degree in Knowledge Management program, you must provide verification that you have satisfied the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher; OR

    If undergraduate GPA is below 3.0., a passing score (50th percentile or higher) in the verbal section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE); OR

    A master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of a university-level course in Statistical Probability and Interpretation, or comparable on-the-job training.
  • Two to five years (or more) work experience in an organizational setting.
  • Appropriate computer equipment and software that at least meets the minimum technical requirements listed below.
  • For International Students: If you do not have a bachelor’s degree from a post secondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction, you will need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 on the paper exam or 213 on the computer-based exam is required for application.
  • A short phone interview may be conducted with each applicant to clarify application information.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Master's of Knowledge Management, students must:

  • Complete 36 semester units as prescribed in the program with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Attain a passing score on the Writing Proficiency Exam.
  • Complete all required courses with a grade of C or higher (C- is not acceptable).
  • Apply to graduate by submitting the Master's Degree and Diploma Application to Admissions and Records (you will receive assistance with this from a DL staff member).

Technology Requirements

Participants need their own computers (Windows or Mac) meeting the following specific hardware and software requirements, and Internet access on a high-speed connection such as DSL, cable, or faster. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) must be reliable and provide live technical support. Antivirus software such as Symantec Norton Anti-Virus, McAfee, or a comparable antivirus package is also required.
