Application Requirements
To successfully apply and be admitted to the DL IDAD program, you must provide verification that you have satisfied all the following:

• Have completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college. AND
  
  
• Have been in good standing at the last institution attended. AND
  
  
• Have at least a 2.5 grade point average in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted, independent of when the baccalaureate was granted. (The entire semester or quarter in which the 60/90 units began will be used in this calculation. Lower-Division courses or courses taken in extension, except in concurrent enrollment at CSUN in the Upper-Division, after obtaining the bachelor's degree, will be excluded from the calculation.)

• Appropriate computer equipment and software that meets or exceeds the minimum technical requirements listed below.

• For International Students: If you do not have a bachelor’s degree from a post-secondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction, you will need to take the
  Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 on the paper exam or 213 on the computer-based exam is required for application. For more information about the TOEFL exam, please access the official website.

Program Requirements
To successfully complete the DL IDAD program and earn your graduate-level credit certificate in “Instructional Design & Adult Development,” you must:

• Complete all of the required six (6) DL IDAD courses;
• Earn a grade of C or better (C- not acceptable) in all courses in the program;
• Complete a final exam or project for each course;
• Complete the entire program with an accumulative GPA of 3.0 or better;
• Complete the program in a maximum of two years.

Technology Requirements
Participants need their own computers (Windows or Mac) meeting the following specific hardware and software requirements, and Internet access on a high-speed connection such as DSL, cable, or faster. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) must be reliable and provide live technical support. Antivirus software such as Symantec Norton Anti-Virus, McAfee, or a comparable antivirus package is also required.

• Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox web browser
• Most current version of Flash Player

• 1.5 GHz Processor
• 1 GB RAM for XP or Vista Home Basic
• 2 GB RAM for Vista Home Premium/Business/Ultimate
• 128 MB of graphics memory for Vista Home Premium/Business/Ultimate
• Screen resolution set to 1024x768 or higher
• DVD-ROM drive
• USB or Firewire Web Cam (Logitech recommended)
• USB headset (Logitech recommended)
