Human Resources Management Program Application

Program Certification Requirements

  • Apply to and be accepted in the Human Resources Management program. A high-school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of human resources, payroll, safety, or supervisory work experience is required.
  • Application fee is $25, and payment directions are on the application form (PDF, 4 pages). Applicants must submit the completed application form and payment no later than the completion of 50% of the coursework.
  • Complete the required number of instructional hours (at least 100) and all required courses in the program.
  • Take all courses for a letter grade (A-F).
  • Complete all eight core courses and one elective while maintaining a minimum grade of 2.0 (C) in each course and a grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 (B-) across all courses. Students maintaining a GPA of 3.7 earn a certificate with distinction.
  • Submit a "Study Plan" at the conclusion of your coursework.

Note that acceptance into the certificate program does not guarantee space in any class. Space is reserved only when registration forms and fees are received by The Tseng College for each class.


Budget News:
All CSUN self-support programs (including master’s degrees, baccalaureate degree completion, credit certificate programs, and online degrees) offered through CSUN's Tseng College, will remain open for applications and admission for the Spring and Fall 2010 semesters. Winter session and Open University courses also will be available.
