International GCBA Program

This program is designed for those for whom English is not a first language and whose TOEFL or IELTS score is below the required minimum for admission to graduate study at the California State University, Northridge.

The program includes English-language instruction and preparation for graduate study at an American university.

A Program for International Participants

The GCBA program allows those who have already earned their bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in a field other than business – and whose TOEFL scores are below the minimum required for admission to graduate study at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) – to acquire the fundamental knowledge needed for success in the business world.

The International GCBA program offers participants an opportunity to achieve greater success in business by

  • Developing strong English language skills, including written and oral communication;
  • Preparing for success in graduate studies at an American university;
  • Gaining essential current knowledge and skills for success and applying those skills to all types of business environments, including entrepreneurial and global models;
  • Enhancing existing expertise with an integrated understanding of the foundations of business analysis and planning; and
  • Completing business foundational coursework for those with a baccalaureate in a field other than business in preparation for admission to an accredited MBA program, including CSUN’s.

The GCBA program is offered by CSUN’s College of Business and Economics (COBAE) in collaboration with CSUN’s Tseng College. COBAE is among the largest colleges of business in the nation and is accredited by American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

The Tseng College has substantial expertise in developing and managing distinctive graduate programs for midcareer professionals, international programs, and advanced-level education for professionals and their employers.
