CONTINUING EDUCATION IS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE
This program is open to professionals and advanced students in health-related fields and is not suitable for the general public. We provide affordable quality continuing education hours and training to the professional community of licensed MFTs, LCSWs, Teachers, Interns, Trainees & other mental health professionals. We are an approved provider (#PCE 306) for mandatory continuing education hours for MFTs & LCSWs requiring CEHs for license renewals by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Conference attendees who complete all required evaluations and attendance documentation are eligible to receive the number of contact hours for workshop(s) attended.

For Withdrawals
Registered participants must officially withdraw using the online withdrawal process by 11:59 p.m. the day before the seminar begins to receive a full refund. The amount paid for the seminar in question will be automatically credited to the participant's CSUN account or may be applied to an alternate class.
There are no withdrawals, refunds or credits granted after 11:59 p.m. of the day before the start of the seminar. Non-attendance, notifying the instructor or stopping payment does not constitute an official withdrawal. Retroactive withdrawal is not permitted.
For Cancelled Classes
Every effort will be made to notify the student of a cancelled class. Fees paid may be applied to an alternate class, or a full refund will be issued. Please allow four to six weeks to receive a refund.
For Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted in writing by contacting a client services specialist via email at ExL@csun.edu. When submitting the request, be sure to include your full name as well as the name and class number of the seminar from which you have withdrawn. If a refund is due, you will automatically receive a refund; for credit card transactions on the Web, look for the credit on your credit card statement within three weeks. For electronic check transactions, you will receive a check by mail to your address of record within three weeks.

If you have never enrolled in a Continuing Education Workshop or registered for a CSUN course before, you will need to create an account with CSUN in order to access the online registration system.
If any error messages appear during the steps below, please phone our Client Services at 818-677-2504 for assistance with setting up an account.
- Go to the Extended Learning Programs and Registration Page (link opens in new window).
- In The Tseng College box, click the "Enrollment" link.
- Click on the "New Students" button in the middle of page.
- Fill out the "New Extension Student Application." An email address is required.
- Click on the "Continue" button. The system takes a few moments to create a new record for you.
- On "Create User Profile" screen:
- Create your password
- For "Program to Enroll", select "The Tseng College - Non Credit"
- For "Term to Enroll", choose the appropriate term for your class
- Click "Submit"
- A screen will appear to confirm that you have completed setting up your account. Your User ID and Password will be emailed to you after your account has been processed. It may take 2 business days for your account to be processed.
- Click the "Logout" link at the top right of the screen.

You must have the CSUN User ID and Password to access the CSUN's online registration system, myNorthridge Portal, to register.
If you do not have an account set up for the online registration system, please refer to the Setting up a New Account section above.
If any error messages appear during the steps below, please phone our Client Services at 818-677-2504 for assistance with registration.
To Enroll and Pay
- Log on to CSUN's myNorthridge Portal (link opens in new window).
- Enter your User ID and Password.
- Click on the Student tab (upper left quadrant of page, below CSUN logo).
- Go to the "The Tseng College" box, Click "Enroll in a Class."
- The "ExL Students Term Activation" page will appear.
From the "Program to Enroll" box, choose: - The Tseng College - Non Credit
- Select the term you need to enroll in, next to the "Term to Enroll" box.
- Click on the "Submit" button to continue.
- The "FEE PAYMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT" page will appear. In order to successfully add a course you will need to make a full payment during the third step of this process. To agree to enroll and pay, click "Acknowledge Demand Pay."
- The "Add Classes" page will appear, beginning the first step of the enrollment process. This step is called "Select Classes to Add." Fill in the five-digit class number/s. You may also need to enter in a permission number in the space indicated on this page. Click "Next." The course info will appear, displaying the course you will take. Click "Enter." If the information is correct, then click "Proceed to Step 2 of 3."
- The second step of enrollment is at the "Confirm Classes" page, which validates the course information again. If the course info is correct, click "Finish Enrolling" to proceed.
- For the third and final step, "View Results," you will need to make a payment. Print a copy of this screen for your records. Click "Make a Payment" to complete this transaction. You may either pay by Electronic Check, Visa, or MasterCard.
NOTE: New students must activate themselves in SOLAR and wait 24 hours for the system to allow payment by Electronic Check. Refer to the NEW STUDENT info, as seen above, on these instructions.
