Post-Master's Program in Behavior Analysis

Applying to the BCBA Program

Because BCBA participants earn graduate credit for their course work, the grades, course work and CSUN-certificate award will become a part of the participant’s permanent academic record for graduate study at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

To be admitted to the BCBA Program, applicants must possess:

A Masters degree in a related field from an accredited university. (related degrees include: Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Educational Psychology and Counseling, Child and Family Studies, Marital Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Communication Disorders and Sciences, or an equivalent field.)

  1. A graduate coursework grade point average of 3.0 except on approval by the BCBA® committee. Enrollment is limited; it is not possible to admit all of the qualified Applicants who apply.
  2. Required English Language Skills for International Students:
  3. TOEFL requirements: Computer Test (CBT) Paper Test (PBT) Internet Test (IBT)
    Score: 213 550 79
    Applicants may be admitted this IELTS score: 6.5



The BCBA program at CSUN is a post-master’s university-certificate program. BCBA students will earn a CSUN certificate upon completion of the BCBA program, but will not be professionally certified BCBA’s until they complete and pass the BCBA certification test through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board: BACB®.
