Student has not been expelled from the program. 65% Refundable under the following conditions for IEP Spring and Fall Terms and Semester at CSUN new applicants: Written notification of cancellation is received by fax, email or mail courier by the IEP office by 4:00 p.m. PST on the Friday of the second week of classes. Student has not been expelled from the program. 65% Refundable under the following conditions for new applicants for IEP Summer Term: Written notification of cancellation is received by fax, email or mail courier by the IEP office by 4:00 p.m. PST on Friday of the first week of classes. Student has not been expelled from the program.
IEP Housing	Varies	100% Refundable under the following conditions for new applicants and continuing students: Notification of cancellation is received by fax, email or mail courier by the IEP housing office by 4:00 p.m. PST five business days before the start of the housing contract.
IEP Meal Plan	Varies	100% Refundable under the following conditions for new applicants and continuing students: Notification of cancellation is received by fax, email or mail courier by the IEP housing office by 4:00 p.m. PST five business days before the start of the housing contract

* A new applicant student is a student who is a first time applicant to the CSUN IEP or Semester at CSUN program or a student who is a returning student who did not continue in the next available term following their first term.

** A continuing student is a student who attends the next available term following their first term.

REFUND PROCEDURES FOR IEP & SEMESTER AT CSUN TUITION

1. Students need to submit a written request asking for the tuition refund (fax, E-mail, or a completed IEP Refund Request Form).
   The request should indicate:
• the date that the request is made
• the reasons why the refund is requested
• the student's CSUN ID#
• the student's contact information (address, phone, fax and E-mail if available)
2. This written request form must be submitted to the IEP Office by the deadlines to qualify for a refund. Please send request to iep@csun.edu or by fax to 818-677-2700.
   
   Please note: It is the student's responsibility to submit the written request in a timely manner. Please refer to the IEP or Semester at CSUN Session Calendar for specific deadlines. The date that the IEP Office receives the written request is very important because it will determine the refund amount.
3. Once all necessary documents are received, the IEP Office will review the refund request.
4. The IEP Office will send a letter notifying the student of its decision.
5. If the refund is approved, the check will be mailed in 6 to 8 weeks.

REFUND PROCEDURES FOR HOUSING AND MEAL PLAN FEES

1. Students need to submit a written request asking for the housing and meal plan refund (fax, E-mail, or a completed IEP Refund Request Form).
   The request should indicate:
   • the date that the request is made
   • the reasons why the refund is requested
   • the student's CSUN ID#
   • the student's contact information (address, phone, fax and E-mail if available)
2. This written request form must be submitted to the IEP Housing Office by the deadlines to qualify for a refund. Please send requests to iepcsunhousing@csun.edu or by fax to 818-677-7637.
   
   Please note: It is the student's responsibility to submit the written request in a timely manner. Please refer to the appropriate IEP Housing Contract on the housing page for specific deadlines. The date that the IEP Housing Office receives the written request is very important because it will determine the refund amount.
3. Once all necessary documents are received, the IEP Housing Office will review the refund request.
4. The IEP Housing Office will send a letter notifying the student of its decision.
5. If the refund is approved, the check will be mailed in 6 to 8 weeks.

Please note that if you are requesting a refund for IEP or Semester at CSUN tuition and IEP housing and meal plan fees, two separate refund requests must be completed.
